David has spent this past year focusing his efforts on working with prisoners suffering mental illness/substance abuse in Harlem, N.Y. and with psychiatric patients in lower Manhattan. In addition, David has traveled back to Epona to work with Linda Kohanov on the development of worldwide corporate leadership workshops. These experiences have served to inform the design and planning of future programs which are to be introduced in the near future.

An intensive six-day workshop for both horse and rider, Power of Two is designed for any level of rider seeking to improve the quality of their riding experience. In this experience, you will form a deeper connection with your horse; you will learn to rely on your inner wisdom and insight to know what both you and your horse need; and you will learn how the state of your body and your emotions affect the quality of your ride.
We believe and teach that the quality of your riding experience is directly related to the quality of your relationship with your horse. In this workshop you will learn through experience, that self-awareness and congruity are the elements that build an authentic relationship with a horse.
“A deeply ceremonial experience which empowered me to see, touch and embrace the magick and mystery of my relationship with my horse – and has inspired me to take it back into my everyday world.”
- Samena Jeffery, Hillsdale, Ontario
We teach you how to be aware of your body and emotions, how to use your emotions as information, and how to translate this awareness into better relationship and better riding. How does this manifest? Listen to one of our participants:
“I am free-longeing our warmblood gelding in the large arena. He is doing a beautiful, energetic trot. I think to myself, ‘when he reaches the far corner, I’ll ask him to walk’, picturing this in my mind’s eye. In the instant I think the word ’walk’, he slows to a walk.”
Is this the kind of connection you want with your horse? You can have it.

The Power of Two brings together a unique team of instructors, including our 10 horses, two Epona Advanced Facilitators, an Equine Massage teacher, a human Massage Therapist, and...
Your Horse.
